Introduction

The NHS Grampian ANCHOR Centre is one of the first of its kind in Scotland with dedicated day and out patient accommodation for oncology, haematology and radiotherapy services, including an onsite pharmacy for the efficient provision of treatments.

Bringing services under one roof helps make the patient journey easier with access to all ANCHOR outpatient services via the main entrance. Our reception team are available for any queries, along with the Friends of ANCHOR welcome team to help with self check-in and directions to the different suites.

The volunteer team are also on hand to serve you in The ANCHOR Cafe. The ground floor is where the 20 consulting rooms are. Each is furnished with state of the art equipment.

A teenager and young adult lounge is a protected space for the 16-25 year old age group.

The sub waiting area and treatment suite on the first floor can be accessed via the open staircase or alternatively lifts are available.

The 28 treatment chair space provides our clinical teams with the best possible environment for treating patients. The configuration of the chairs allows for the flexibility of having someone with you, chatting to the person next to you or simply having some privacy.

The enhanced comfort, functionality and aesthetics of the chairs are possible due to funding from the Delivering the Difference Campaign led by Friends of ANCHOR.

There is an accessible courtyard on the ground floor. The importance of access to, or sight of, outdoor space came from consultation with stakeholders.
