The 21st Migraine Trust International Symposium is being held for the first time outside of London in Glasgow from 3-5 September. It is a long established highly prestigious headache meeting bringing world experts together. The NHS Grampian headache team have been invited to be part of the faculty for the teaching sessions prior to the main meeting. There are a number of teaching courses aimed at both Primary and Secondary care that can be attended separately to the main meeting. Topics include headache diagnosis and management in adults and children and how to approach complex patients with co-morbidities in a holistic way. The courses are priced a £60 + Vat for GPs and consultants and £30 for AHPs and trainees. The link is Teaching courses - MTIS 2026 This is a fantastic educational opportunity for NHSG clinicians.
On Saturday (5 September) there is a separate meeting for patients that can be attended in person or virtually. Approximately one in four NHSG employees have migraine and this will be of interest to all. Links below
