The brand of denosumab you are prescribed has been changed because NHS Grampian has identified a more efficient way to provide your treatment. This change will not affect the quality or safety of your care.

Denosumab is a biosimilar medicine, which means that it is recommended that you are always prescribed the same brand of this medicine.

Doctors, nurses and pharmacists across NHS Grampian have been asked to follow this prescribing guidance.

What this means for you:

• Your prescription will be changed the next time you order your medicines.
• You should use up any medicines you already have before ordering more.
• If you have any queries about changes to your prescription, please contact the Pharmacy Team at your GP practice.
