Family support at Befriend a Child
In addition to befriending and mentoring services, Befriend a Child can provide families of children who are being befriended or mentored with extra support. A Family Support Co-ordinator will work alongside parents and carers, to identify areas where they would benefit from extra support. Family Support - Befriend a Child
Young Minds – Parents
Guide for parents covering how to support young people through various events such as bullying and divorce. Guide also provides information on mental health problems such as depression, anxiety and disordered eating and how to support young people with them. They also offer a parent helpline and webchat.

Community Food Initiatives North East (CFINE)
Support with benefits, budgeting, debt advice, energy/heating advice. In Aberdeenshire they also have a community food pantry in Peterhead and a mobile food service that helps rural communities access affordable and healthy goods at low cost.

Action for Children: Aberdeen Priority Families
Aberdeen Priority Families provide the right support for the right families and the tight time. Using a whole-family approach, they link relevant agencies together to support and guide children, young people and their families.
Action for Children – Parent Talk
Advice and information for all things parenting including emotional wellbeing, relationships and education. They also offer a 1:1 chat at various times Mon-Fri.

Family Lives
Information about all aspects of family life that include all stages of a child’s development, issues with schools and parenting/relationship support. They help Scotland’s families to put children first, with practical advice and with support in difficult times. And when the worst happens, they support survivors of abuse, neglect, and other traumatic events in childhood, to recover.
