Pre-application Consultation for New Pharmacy in Cloverhill, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen

NHS Grampian and KinWell Pharmacy Ltd. are conducting a consultation on a proposal to open a new pharmacy in Cloverhill, Bridge of Don. KinWell Pharmacy Ltd. currently operate a pharmacy in Nairn, Aberdeenshire.

Under the regulations, health boards must carry out a joint public consultation with any community pharmacist proposing to open a new pharmacy intending to provide NHS pharmaceutical services to the public.

He has extensive experience in community pharmacy and healthcare service delivery and is committed to improving access to high quality, patient-centred healthcare services within local communities.

A pharmacy can be opened by anybody, anywhere in Scotland. However, if someone wishes to provide NHS pharmaceutical services to the public, they can only do so with collaboration and permission of the relevant NHS Board. To do this the NHS Board and the applicant must now carry out a joint pre-application consultation with the public in the area of the proposed new pharmacy, before submitting an application to the relevant NHS Board.

Following the completion of the joint pre-application consultation, the Board and the applicant must agree upon and produce a consultation analysis report. The report must detail the level of support of residents in the neighbourhood to which the application relates.
