Aberdeen’s main vaccination centre will shortly move to a new home: Unit 19 in Bon Accord Aberdeen.

Caroline Anderson, Vaccination Programme Manager for Aberdeen City, said: “The Aberdeen City Vaccination Centre (ACVC) has been based at Norco House since September 2021. As the service changes focus to offering a range of immunisations as part of the Vaccination Transformation Programme, and a more targeted COVID-19 vaccination offering, our needs have changed. The new centre will also provide a base to promote health & wellbeing with the provision of a Health Information point and the ability to open the space for regular classes or events in conjunction with other health & social care services.”

The Aberdeen City Vaccination Centre will close in its current location on Sunday 4 June, reopening in Bon Accord Aberdeen on Monday 19 June. During the move, appointments for immunisations including Shingles & Pneumococcal, and the COVID-19 spring booster, will be made at the centres in Airyhall and Bridge of Don.

Caroline added: “We have planned this move carefully, to try and minimise disruption, and I want to thank people in advance for their understanding and willingness to attend appointments at other venues. If they cannot come to these centres, then they will be able to book appointments at our new home from Monday 19 June onwards.”

All other vaccination centres in Grampian continue to operate as normal, in their established venues.
