The National Treatment Centre – Grampian (NTC-G) is one of eleven centres across Scotland being developed to increase capacity and efficiency of elective services.
The NTC-G aims to improve patient experience, the care pathway and treatment waiting times. The services and facilities in the new Centre will include:
- Day Case surgery
- Endoscopy
- Diagnostics – MRI (including MRI at Dr Gray’s), CT and X-Ray
- Urology, Respiratory and Dermatology Clinics
Following a pause in the project during the COVID-19 pandemic, a clinical review and work to identify the preferred site for the new Centre in Aberdeen has been completed.
Work has also progressed to develop the new MRI Scanner at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin.
