Leadership Development
Within NHS Grampian we deliver the internationally recognised Leading an Empowered Organisation (LEO) programme.
Leadership development is well recognised as an essential component of safe and effective care, improved staff satisfaction, succession planning and staff retention.
The programme is used worldwide and one of its’ unique features is that it will be facilitated by a subject matter expert rather than a generic leadership facilitator. This is because the teaching and learning methods used are focused on a mixture of evidence-based input, practical exercises, storytelling and reflections, most of which are profession specific. It is an intense three-day program with a one-day follow-up about 2-3 months after completion of the course.
