Bicycle Training Wednesday 27th August

There will be some bicycle training on the day kindly provided by local organisation Tyred n Cranky and Cycling UK

There are 2 morning sessions for complete beginners; you don’t need to have any cycling experience at all:

Session 1: 11-11.30

Session 2: 11.30-12.00

There will be a focus on: Control - Balance, braking and steering

The beginners training will take place on the Ashgrove House tennis courts

The afternoon sessions are an introduction to on road cycling (so you are currently able to cycle but are not confident on the road). There is a maximum of two people per session.

Session 3: 12.15-1pm

Session 4: 1.15-2pm

The focus will be on confidence and observation. Starting location for the on road training is TBA but it is likely you will be starting out on Ashgrove Road West.

Places are extremely limited. If you would like to book a space please email gram.activetravel@nhs.scot stating what session(s) you could attend. Once you are booked onto a course your mobile number will be required but that will only be used on the day and then the information will be deleted.

Bicycles can be provided on the day or you are welcome to use your own
