Hearing Aid Repairs and Maintenance
This section provides helpful advice and information regarding effective hearing aid maintenance, and how to resolve certain hearing aid issues.
Please ensure you change the battery as needed (approximately every 7 days) and ensure the battery has been inserted correctly into the hearing aid.
Please also ensure you keep your hearing aid clean
Hearing aids can occasionally stop working as effectively, or even break down. Often the problem is something that can be resolved without needing an appointment. Information on how to resolve certain hearing aid issues can be found in this section.
The most common cause of hearing aid faults, is that the tube needs replacing. All hearing aid tubes (thin tubes and mould tubes) require regular tube replacement, at least every 6 months, in order to function correctly.
