HELP for families across Grampian (Health Equity + Learning Project)
Published: 10/11/2025 15:31Some families are struggling to get to appointments due to lack of funds to pay for transport. Financial support is available via a new test of change project which links Grampian families to funds – they contact Cash First and talk about what they need via welfare.rights@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or by calling 01467 538555.
HELP has been working with a group of people with lived experience, an expert panel, who have shared valuable experiences and ideas relating to barriers to healthcare appointment attendance. Living rurally can increase the difficulty of getting where a family needs to go. This project will run from November 2025 until February 2026. It brings together ourselves and Aberdeenshire Council and is funded by the Scottish Government through the Child Poverty Practice Accelerator Fund.
