'Wellbeing, Culture and Development – Supporting You to Thrive at Work'

According to the NHS Grampian Annual Whistleblowing Report 2024 - 25, the majority of concerns raised relate to behaviours.

The Wellbeing, Culture and Development team provides specialist support to help individuals, teams and groups across the organisation be effective, well and thrive at work.

What We Do:

Wellbeing

We promote mental, emotional and physical wellbeing through:
  • workshops, training and awareness campaigns
  • resources to support resilience and work-life balance

Culture

We help build a respectful, inclusive workplace where everyone feels safe to speak up:
  • supporting teams to address incivility and strengthen relationships
  • diagnosing team culture and helping teams improve how they work together
  • promoting values of caring, listening and continuous improvement
  • supporting individuals to improve working relationships and resolve issues through mediation.

Development

We support staff and managers to grow and lead with confidence providing:

  • coaching skills for managers to lead with empathy and clarity
  • support for meaningful appraisals and development conversations
  • training in crucial conversations to build trust and accountability
  • learning opportunities to build skills and confidence

Why Speaking Up Matters

A speak up culture helps us care better, listen more and keep improving.
When staff feel safe to raise concerns, share ideas and challenge poor practice, it builds trust, improves safety and strengthens our culture - for ourselves, our teams and the people we serve.
