Speak Up Week 2025 Update
Equality and Diversity Update for Speak Up Week 2025
As part of NHS Grampians commitment to creating a safe and respectful workplace, our Interim Equality and Diversity Manager is leading important work to promote zero-tolerance to racism and discrimination. This includes a staff experience survey to better understand lived experiences, an online incident reporting system to make it easier to raise concerns, and a new training opportunity to support awareness and action.
NHS Grampian is also proud to be a third-party reporting centre for hate crime, offering staff and the public a safe space to report incidents. These initiatives align closely within the values of Speak Up Week 2025, reinforcing the message that everyone has the right to be heard and supported. By speaking up and standing together, we can build a culture of respect, trust and safety across all our teams and services.
Online reporting for discrimination, harassment or prejudice incident
NHS Grampian has an anonymised reporting for prejudice incident for staff, patient and members of the public. We have a Zero Tolerance to any form of prejudice behaviours such as: racism, gender based violence and harassment towards any of protected characteristics (e.g. Age, disability, religion, sex, sexual orientation etc). If you are a victim or witness, please report by completing the MS Form
https://forms.office.com/r/xkSdLvnv8a or scan the QR code. This is an anonymous reporting but if you wish to discuss the incident, you can ask for Equality and Diversity to contact you.
Online Training as Third Party Reporting Centre for Reporting Hate Crime
We are promoting and encouraging staff to complete the 15-minute eLearning module "Reporting hate crime: NHS Grampian as a third party reporting centre" . It has been developed to support victims or witness of hate crime who do not feel comfortable reporting the incident to the Police. The eLearning module will support you to recognise hate crime and the role of NHSG as a Third Party Reporting Centre.
Our ambition is that staff who completed the eLearning module will be able to confidently support victim or witness of hate incident/crime and report the incident via the Third Party online reporting system.
Staff Experience Survey on Racism
It is invaluable to hear our staff share their experience on racism/racial discrimination in the workplace. We acknowledge that racism causes harm to individuals. In line with our commitment to support staff and pledge as an antiracist organisation, we are listening, learning and will act on what we hear. If you would like to share your experience, please complete the form https://forms.office.com/e/nSMbGsXnbj
Thank you for your honesty and courage to help us hear your voices.
