Patients throughout Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital shall have full opportunity for play and recreation. Children will have their play needs assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated by a qualified member of staff.

Play will be provided by staff who are trained to understand the play needs of children and young people in hospital.

Play staff will display a friendly, professional and supportive attitude, educating parents and staff about the importance of play.

Play staff will also take a full role in the multi-disciplinary approach to patient care within Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.
