Spiritual Care in NHS Grampian

Spiritual Care

NHS Grampian seeks to provide appropriate spiritual, pastoral and religious care to patients, their relatives and carers and to staff. This care is available to people with or without specified religious beliefs.

The particular needs of different churches, faith and other groups within the area are respected and access to appropriate support offered.
Hospital chaplains provide spiritual, religious and pastoral care in all the hospitals in NHS Grampian.
  • they are available for patients, relatives, carers, visitors and staff
  • to listen...to support....to celebrate....to comfort....to pray
  • in complete confidence no matter what a person's faith or beliefs
This care is available to people with or without specified religious beliefs.

NHS Grampian Chaplaincy Study Morning

The annual Study Morning for Chaplains, volunteers and others interested, will take place at High Hilton Church, Aberdeen on Wednesday 1st  November 2017.
The theme is 'The Ritual in the Spiritual' and the keynote speaker is Dr Leon Van Ommen, Aberdeen University.
We hope during the morning to explore the broad topic of making sure that those in NHS care are provided with the right rites, not necessarily at the end of life, but throughout life.
