Temporary re-location of the entrance to the Children's Hospital accident and emergency department
The entrance to the A&E department at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital is being relocated on a temporary basis to allow internal up-grading work to take place.
From the morning of Saturday June 30, access to the department will be via a blue door located a few feet to the right of the existing entrance. Parents should look out for the coloured poles outside the current entrance, and follow the signs to the temporary door.
The work is expected to be finished the week of August 6, when access will revert to the usual entrance.
NHS Grampian acknowledge there will be some disruption, but are reassuring parents that it will have no impact on emergency care for children.
The work is designed to create a more streamlined emergency care and out of hours service for children.
