Inpatient wards

There are two wards in the hospital:

  • Morven Ward provides medical care, assessment, rehabilitation and palliative / terminal care.  Two of the single rooms have conservatories built with donations from 'Friends of Glen O' Dee'.  All the wards have en-suite facilities.  The ward has a homely feel, with a large day room and a smaller sitting room.

  • Scolty Ward is a ward for old age psychiatry care of the elderly and focuses on dementia assessment.  Two of the single rooms have conservatories built with donations from 'Friends of Glen O' Dee'.  All the wards have en-suite facilities.  Patients have the use of a large day room and another 'quiet' sitting room which leads out to the garden area.

Visiting times

A policy of 'open visiting' applies in the wards, although it would be appreciated if patient meal times could be avoided.

Regular services within the hospital are conducted by the Church of Scotland chaplain.

There is also a weekly hairdressing service and library service.
