Community Child Health services are, on the whole, provided for children up to the age of 19 years. As far as possible, care is provided in the home setting or as close to the home setting as possible.

    • There are 3 theatres in RACH, providing paediatric anaesthesia and radiology and supported by a High Dependency Unit in RACH and ITU in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

    • Child and Family Psychiatry up to 13 years of age
    • Clinical Child Psychology up to 19 years of age
    • Lowit Unit providing day and outreach services
    • Provide services for children with emotional, behavioural, anti-social, developmental problems, etc
    • Teaching staff also included in provision of service
  • Accident and Emergency
    • 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, paediatric department
    • Consultant staff rotate from A & E in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

    • Provide play preparation service for children undergoing procedures
