Aberdeen Maternity Hospital is based on the Foresterhill site.
On the Foresterhill site, there is also
Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the
Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.
The hospital was built in the late 1940s and over the years has undergone considerable upgrading, providing modern facilities in a friendly and homely atmosphere.
Four to five thousand babies are born in the hospital every year.
Aberdeen Maternity Hospital is part of NHS Grampian and serves the area of Grampian and the islands of Shetland and Orkney.
