Clinics and Services

Elderly Screening

We offer all patients over the age of 75 years an annual health check. This will be carried out by the health assistant/health visitor/district nurse and can take place either in the clinic or in the home. We are interested in your general well being and how you cope in your own home. Basic health checks including blood pressure, pulse and a specimen of urine will be undertaken at the visit and thereafter you will be contacted yearly for follow up checks although this can be arranged sooner if necessary. Referral to other Support services can also be offered if required.

We will contact you and arrange this visit.

We do this by providing support by telephone for Mums who wish to ask about minor concerns, and encouraging participation in ante natal classes both for first time Mums and for experienced Mums wishing a refresher.

We also undertake post natal care by the support and encouragement of families with new babies following discharge from the hospital until the baby is about 10 days old, liaising with the health visitors and GPs as necessary
