Our team of Health Visitors and District Nurses is employed by NHS Grampian but based at Bucksburn Clinic and Dyce Health Centre. Also working in the practice are an attached Midwife and a nurse from the Drug Problem Service. They are employed by NHS Grampian.
Aberdeen City Collective (North) employs Joan MacLeod, a Pharmacist, who also work regularly in the practice.
Care Managers and an Occupational Therapist employed by the Social Work Department are also based at Bucksburn Clinic.
District & Community Nurses are qualified nurses whose function is to provide high quality, professional nursing care to patients with short term illness, disability, palliative or terminal care who choose to return to or remain in their own homes.

Health visitors are qualified nurses, usually with several years' post registration experience. Their role is to promote health, and prevent mental, physical and social ill health in the community. They concentrate mainly on children, expectant mothers, and the elderly. A health assistant works under the direction of the health visitors. .
Health visitors attached to the practice are based at Bucksburn Clinic, Kepplehills Road, and can be contacted on 01224 719178/719179. The health assistant is based at Dyce Health Centre.
Our Community Midwife is Karen Moon. She runs the antenatal clinics in conjunction with the doctor and provides care before and after delivery.
She is based at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital and can be contacted on 01224 552991 from 8.30 to 10 am and from 4 to 5 pm. In an emergency telephone 01224 552602, Maternity reception, who will contact the midwife on call.
