Raising Self Esteem

Give Kids a Chance provides young people with the opportunity to take part in a hobby or activity of their choice. There is no pressure to succeed or excel. A hobby should be pleasurable and satisfying and this is exactly what the project is aiming to provide for the young people taking part.

A key objective for Give Kids a Chance is to introduce young people to new friends and allow them to mix socially with other youngsters who have a common interest.

Relieving boredom by introducing young people to positive pastimes can help address many difficulties. Low self-esteem and lack of confidence can be hard to overcome but has been achieved by many Give Kids a Chance participants as a direct result of their involvement with the project.
