From time to time, especially following care of a loved one, people ask to make donations. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for these kind gifts.
As we are commonly asked what the process is for making a donation we thought you might find it useful if we showed this information here on our website.
Donations can be made directly to any ward / department / research fund etc. through the NHS Grampian Endowment Fund. If you are already aware of the endowment fund and how it works you can go straight to the
endowment fund donation form.
There are also charities who also accept donations and organise fundraising events for particular hospitals / wards / health issues. Some of these are also listed here.
The Elizabeth Montgomery Foundation (EMF) and Maggie's are involved in a fundraising campaign to bring a Maggie's Cancer Caring Centre to the Foresterhill site. This centre will offer support to anyone in the region who is diagnosed with cancer as well as their friends and family.
For further information, please go to the Maggie's Aberdeen website.

For almost 30 years - Grampian Hospitals Art Trust has worked to create an environment in NHS Grampian Hospitals which is welcoming and positive. There are 4,500 art works across NHS Grampian facilities. It is the largest arts collection of its kind in Scotland - possibly in the UK. A growing part of our work, based on close collaboration with patients, staff and visitors, is to design and implement the enhancement of facilities through the use of colour, signage, words and artwork.
We all spend time in hospital - as a patient, visitor or staff member and, healthcare settings can be the focus of the most momentous events in our lives. GHAT service provides respite for those in care; giving a focus and distraction away from their current situation
