Views on health services for children with complex needs being sought

NHS Grampian is seeking the views of parents, carers and other interested parties about plans to make changes to health services for children with complex needs in Aberdeen and surrounding area.

Under the plans, a central resource centre would be developed, with three specialist multi-disciplinary health teams working in homes and schools to ensure as much care as possible is provided in the community.

Open meetings for parents and carers will take place next week on Wednesday August 25, from 7.00pm - 9.00 pm and on Friday morning, August 27 from 10.00am - 12.00 noon.

The events will include presentations, displays and the opportunity to quiz the organisers about the proposals.

Both meetings will take place at the Satrosphere Science Centre in Constitution Street, Aberdeen.

If you would like to attend, please register by telephoning 01224 554400 or by e mailing nhsg.consult@nhs.net

Consultation on the proposals has been running since June and is due to finish on September 3. More information is available at www.nhsgrampian.org/cwcn
