New phone number for sexual health service
The sexual health service in Grampian is launching a new telephone number. From tomorrow (October 28) anyone looking for free and confidential advice, tests or treatment can contact any sexual health clinic in Grampian by calling one number - 0845 337 9900. Calls to this new number will cost the same as the price of a local call.
Dr Steve Baguley is one of the consultants at the City Clinic in Aberdeen. He said: "Until now, people have had to remember different phone numbers for the different clinics and have often met with an engaged tone. When people call the new number they will be able to obtain directions to the clinic or find out opening hours. They will also be able to speak to a receptionist."
NHS Grampian has sexual health clinics in Aberdeen, Elgin, Fraserburgh and Buckie.
People can come to drop in clinics or book an appointment. Services include testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, contraception, pregnancy counselling and consultations for a variety of other sexual health problems.
