Charities and Donations

Also in Charities and Donations:

From time to time, especially following care of a loved one, people ask to make donations. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for these kind gifts.

As we are commonly asked what the process is for making a donation we thought you might find it useful if we showed this information here on our website.

Donations can be made directly to any ward / department / research fund etc. through the NHS Grampian Endowment Fund. If you are already aware of the endowment fund and how it works you can go straight to the Link opens in new windowendowment fund donation form.

There are also charities who also accept donations and organise fundraising events for particular hospitals / wards / health issues. Some of these are also listed here.

Grampian Hospitals Art Trust (GHAT)

GHAT has been involved in arts projects across NHS Grampian for the last 30 years, from our collection of original artwork on the walls you can see as you walk through your hospital to specially commissioned work for places such as the Royal Aberdeen Childrens' Hospital, Royal Cornhill Hospital and Aberdeen Dental School.

In recent years GHAT has set up Artroom projects in Woodend Hospital and Roxburghe House and has built The Suttie Arts Space at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, which will be opened later this year.

GHAT's work is recognised by NHS Grampian as an important element of our high-quality healthcare environment.  Feedback from staff, visitors and patients reflect the positive outcomes we seek, with many commenting on how our work creates a distinctive tone to our local hospitals and clinics. It is our dream to help create a welcoming healing environment for all who come to NHS Grampian hospitals regardless of age or medical condition.

Please join us to assure the success of all our projects
