NHS Grampian can today (Friday 19 June) report that there are 2 confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) in Grampian. In addition 2 people are currently being tested for possible influenza A (H1N1).
The clinical condition of the confirmed cases is not giving any cause for concern. They are being treated at home and are being closely monitored.
Medical Director, Dr Roelf Dijkhuizen said, "We are reassured that we are not currently seeing an increase of cases of influenza A (H1N1) in Grampian, but it is very important that we continue with the strategies we have in place to contain and control the spread of infection."
