Weekend Minor Injury Clinic

This is a pharmacy-based minor injury walk-in clinic that is available in Boots in the Bon Accord Centre, Aberdeen.
 
The service is open on weekends from 9am - 5pm on Saturdays and noon - 5pm on Sundays. Patients can also be referred to the service by contacting NHS24 on 0845 24 24 24.
 
The NHSG Minor Injury Nurse staffing this service aims to complement the minor ailments service which is already provided by the pharmacist.

The types of injuries which may be treated at the Walk-in Clinic include:

• Bites and stings
• Cuts / Burns
• Bruising
• Eye injury
• Foreign body under skin
• Limb injuries
• Minor head injury
• Nasal trauma

The new service is part of a Scottish Government-funded pilot involving pharmacies in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh and Airdrie offering a range of extra services and extended hours, with the aim of increasing patient access and reduce waiting times.
