NHS Grampian has a legal duty to monitor racial equality within its own workforce and to publish an Annual Racial Equality Workforce Monitoring Report. Items monitored include the ethnic origins of: applicants, shortlisted candidates, staff appointed, staff who are promoted and training opportunities. Monitoring information on staff performance and assessment procedures are also included, broken down by ethnicity. The report goes to the NHS Grampian Health Board for discussion and approval.
