Social Support Services

Social Support services can offer advice and access to a range of services and equipment. For example, they can help with:

  • a needs assessment
  • special aids and equipment
  • advice and information about benefits
  • advice on how to make a benefit application
  • emotional support about sight-loss for children and thier families

Each social support service provides support through Visual Impairment workers. Contacts are dependent on where you live in Grampian:

Each of the social support services work with vision support teachers to support your needs if necessary.

Your child does not have to be Registered as Blind or Partially Sighted to receive their help.
