2.13 Local sclerosants

SPECIAL INDICATIONS

Sodium tetradececyl sulphate (injection 0.2%, 0.5%, 1%, 3%) is available for restricted off-label use for foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins. Only appropriate hospital-based specialists should initiate it, and use should be in line with NICE IPG 314 - Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins. Licensed product requested for restricted off-label use, hospital use only.
